Volunteer Opportunities at DePaul University

The owner of Midnight Moon Publishing, Jaspaul Gill operates a Chicago-based publishing company that specializes in short fiction ebooks. Jaspaul Gill holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from DePaul University, which operates the DePaul Community Service Association (DCSA), through which students participate in community service.

The DePaul Community Service Association (DCSA) offers a rich menu of volunteer opportunities so that students can work toward social justice throughout Chicago. Volunteer opportunities include youth mentoring, disability care, tutoring in English as a second language (ESL), food assistance, and animal care.

To get involved in these activities, students choose from 14 service groups. For example, the Achieving Immigrant Rights & Equality-DePaul Community Service Association gives students the chance to collaborate with local immigrant communities and teach ESL at the Erie Neighborhood House. Those who are more interested in working with animals can join DePaul's Voices for Animals, a group of students who clean rabbit cages and socialize with animals during their time in a shelter.
